Audio Oscillator 2-Transistors

A simple direct-coupled oscillator with two transistors. (August 3, 2009)

 

Two transistor audio oscillator This circuit uses two transistors, two resistors and one capacitor. It is a direct-coupled oscillator and the frequency is determined by the capacitor and the 470k resistor.

 

Here is the bill or materials:

 

  • 1 470k resistor
  • 1 10k resistor
  • 1 0.01 uF capacitor
  • 1 3906 PNP resistor
  • 1 3904 NPN resistor
  • 1 8 ohms speaker

    This circuit can be modified to be used as LED flasher or a Simple Lie Detector
