Anthony Sotillet's POV Display

A modified version of the "Air diplay" adapted to be used in a bicycle. (20/2/2008)

Anthony from Cumaná, Venezuela, made his own "Persistence of vision" (POV) display, similar to my Air Display but it can be mounted on any bicycle wheels and it displays fifteen messages in Spanish.

Indications Here is the PCB with each part of the project. It uses a 12F629, works with a voltage of 3Volts

View This is the PCB top view to determine the location of each part. The yelow ones are the resistors, the red ones are the LEDs (works better with RED leds) and there is a jumper under the microcontroller PIC 12F629.

Your can DOWNLOAD THE HEX FILE here. Right click the link and choose "SAVE AS..."

Here are the messages included in the PIC:

1* POV LED
2* ARRIBA
3* EQUIPO
4* ADIOS !!
5* FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS
6* FELIZ AÑO
7* AYUDAME
8* T AMO
9* RUMBEAR
10* SOY EL No 1
11* FELIZ NAVIDAD
12* ANOTEN
13* SONRIE
14* TRUCO O TRATO
15 THE BEST

Testing the circuit Measuring and testing the circuit. The amperimeter shows 0.1 mA using 3 Volts (two AA batteries)

Here is the circuit mounted in the bicycle wheel.

And, finally, here is a video showing how it works.
